Not only is the summer season a busy time for you and your loved ones, but the Fairville Fire Department and other responders are busy responding to various emergencies throughout Wayne County.

Summer is a time for celebration and relaxation, but it’s also a dangerous time of year to be on the road, especially on the weekends during the late night and early morning hours. According to research from FARS, collected between 2011 and 2016, there were six fatal crashes involving a driver who was under the influence of drugs or alcohol in Wayne County.

While there’s no reason not to travel to various celebrations this summer, please do it responsibly, safely and educate yourself about when it’s safest to do so. As you take a look at this map to find out more about keeping New York State roads safer, don’t forget to sign the pledge and commit to staying sober while behind the wheel.
